A Cartier Double Folded Deployment Buckle is a clasp with two folding points, where both straps end slid in and doubled over. No holes in the strap and no spring bar. It has an open “C” visible. designed for elegance and security. It allows for easy fastening, stays attached to the strap, and folds compactly on the wrist. Type 2 - Single-folded Cartier Deployment Clasp
A Cartier Single Folded Deployment Buckle is a type of watch clasp with a single folding point. Unlike the double-fold version, it folds once, creating a streamlined closure. The single-folded Cartier deployant clasp has a spring bar on one end, and the other end folds over. and is commonly found on Cartier Pasha, Tank, Baignoire, Vendome and more models

Type 3 - Pin Buckle

Type 4 - Cartier Interchangeable Folding clasp
A Cartier Interchangeable Folding Clasp is a type of watch clasp that allows you to easily switch out the watch strap without the need for tools. It features a folding mechanism that snaps shut for a secure fit. The clasp also has a push-button system on the buckle, which makes it easy to open and close. This design combines convenience with security, allowing for quick strap changes while ensuring the watch stays firmly on the wrist.

Type 5 - Cartier Vintage Deployant Clasp
A Cartier Vintage Buckle is a classic watch clasp design where the strap has a fixed length on each side, meaning it cannot be adjusted. The ends of the strap are flat, allowing them to be compatible with a vintage deployment buckle.
If you gain or lose weight, you’ll need to replace the strap. Additionally, if you want to pass the watch down to the next generation or sell it to someone else with a different wrist size, they will also have to replace the strap.
The Cartier Vintage clasp is often found on vintage watches as it reflects the design trends and technology of that era. When Cartier designed this clasp, it was likely responding to the design limitations of the time, as the more user-friendly double-folding clasp had not yet been developed. This highlights how Cartier has continued to improve its clasp designs over the years to respond to changing needs and technological advances, improving functionality and convenience. This type of clasp is mostly found on Vintage Cartier Tank, Vendome Must watches.
Type 6 - Cartier Santos 100 Butterfly clasp
The Cartier Santos 100 watch has a butterfly-style deployant clasp. The clasp itself looks cool and is designed to suggest the look of the bezel with its steel and 18k yellow gold construction and two visible screws. In addition, the clasp is as well made as the case, with extra details such as angular bevels. As I tend to do, I will mention that while the adjustment system allows you to carefully choose the length of each side of the strap, allowing for a very precise fit, it is not designed to allow you to adjust the size of the strap very often. As a result, the initial sizing is a bit of a pain, but once you’ve sized the strap, it looks great on the wrist.

Type 7 - Cartier Tank Divan pin buckle
The Cartier Tank Divan buckle has a lug size of 19mm and is specifically designed for the Cartier Tank Divan model. The tongue of the pin buckle is 4mm, and the leather watch band must also have 4mm pin holes to ensure a proper fit.
